It’s my first time going to Cocolife Cebu City branch to claim my benefits from my deceased mother’s insurance plans. The insurance plan subscriptions were in Cocoplans. In Cebu City, Cocolife Cebu handles the processing of Cocoplans.
No Email Response At All
The first idea that comes into mind was to contact their insurance company via email as that would be the most logical thing to do. As I have a full-time job here in Cebu City and applying for a leave would be a waste of company resources. However, I never got a response from Cocolife Cebu in my email at all ever!

Go look at their reviews in Google Search. They mostly have a 1.0 star review and an average of 2.0…now I understand why. Most of the bad reviews you read about them is how bad their marketing scheme is. Generally the concerns of people regarding them is how persuasive they are at marketing their Insurance policies that they almost don’t take no for an answer and how their marketing tactics sound like a scam.

Going To Cocolife SM City Cebu Branch
I was even more dismayed when I got to this branch. Cocolife Cebu office looks good on the outside but when I inquired about the insurance plans they just referred me to another branch that says they handle contracts about Cocoplans. The branch they want to transfer me to is also in Cebu City at Cocolife Cebu MSY Tower that’s near Ayala Center Cebu.
This 2nd branch is also a flop! When I was there, the front desk employee just says to contact the Cocoplans Headquarters. I was so dismayed about the situation. If their only solution was just to refer me to contact Cocoplans Headquarters, they could have replied the insurance details to me in the email. I would have never undergone this type of hassle in this process.
I’m just hoping that Cocolife Cebu will improve their services and responses since Cocoplans Headquarters in NCR respond fast and respectively. They are a shame to all Cebuano People! The reviews that the travelers and foreign people living in Cebu City will leave all of us a bad mark.
